All tours are 3 hour walking tours with breaks. Due to the length, we do not recommend them for children under 6 years. Due to the terrain of the gardens, a basic level of fitness is required. Please warn us if anyone in your party has health concerns.

Our 3-hour walking tour covers every corner of Princeville Botanical Gardens. Your friendly guide will share stories of the gardens' development and a wealth of fascinating information about the plants. Seasonal fruit samples and homemade honey will keep your energy up as you explore our valleys. 

This tour includes a 1/2-hour chocolate tasting during which you'll learn about the cacao tree and how chocolate is processed, while sampling delicious gourmet chocolates from around the world.

Pricing: $69/adult      $22/ages 7-16     Kids 6 & under free

The only way to visit Princeville Botanical Gardens is by guided tours offered three days per week.

REMINDERS and NOTES

  • Tours are RAIN or SHINE.
  • A basic level of fitness is required. While our tours proceed at a leisurely pace and the total distance is only a little over a mile, the terrain includes grass, earth and gravel pathways and steep inclines.
  • We regret we cannot accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, or motorized scooters.
  • Please warn us in advance if anyone in your party has any health concerns. Visitors with asthma or other health conditions may find areas of the tour strenuous. 
  • Tours start on time.
  • Our gates open 45 minutes before tour time.
  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin.
  • Parking is inside the property, just follow the signs. NO parking out on Ahonui Rd.
  • In wet weather you can expect to get your shoes a little muddy. Come prepared for a “walk in the woods.”
  • We have mosquitos! Please bring repellent if you have concerns.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • You can cancel up until 6pm the evening before your tour and receive a full refund.
  • For any cancellations after 6pm the evening before the tour, you will be charged full price for your reservation.

Below you will find both directions from the South (Kilauea, Kapaa, Lihue, Poipu, etc.) and the North (Princeville proper, Hanalei, etc.).

Approaching from the North

  1. From the Princeville Shopping Center (Foodland) head South (towards the Airport) on the main highway.
  2. Travel about ½ mile and make your first available right onto Kapaka Road.
  3. Travel exactly 1 mile along Kapaka, and then make a left onto Ahonui Place.
  4. Please drive SLOWLY on Ahonui out of respect for the neighbors.
  5. After 3/10 mile our driveway is on the left: 3840 Ahonui Place.
  6. Pass through the open wooden gate and immediately turn to the left into our parking lot. Someone will greet you and show you where to park. If you miss our driveway and come to a dead-end roundabout you have gone to far! 

Approaching from the South

  1. Head North on Kuhio Highway 56, towards Princeville.
  2. Between mile markers 27 and 28 there is a crossroad at the top of a hill: turn left on Kapaka Street. On the right is a large sign for The Church of the Pacific.
  3. Travel exactly 1 mile along Kapaka, and then make a left onto Ahonui Place.
  4. Please drive SLOWLY on Ahonui out of respect for the neighbors.
  5. After 3/10 mile our driveway is on the left: 3840 Ahonui Place.
  6. Pass through the open wooden gate and immediately turn to the left into our parking lot. Someone will greet you and show you where to park. If you miss our driveway and come to a dead-end roundabout you have gone to far!
